Prayer Guide
Prayer is not made so that God can find out what we need. God wants us to pray because prayer expresses our trust in God and is a means where by our trust in Him can increase. Wayne Grudem

His Agenda: Pray for His Will
1. In the Nations (International Conflict, Leaders of Other Nations; Persecution of Christians abroad)
2. In our Nation (National Leaders, State, City-pray for wisdom, their souls, their families)
3. In our Church (Sovereign Grace Leadership, Planting of New Churches, Preaching of the Gospel, Pastors and their families, Small Group Leaders, those who serve behind the scenes, faithfulness of the people)
4. In your Family (Your spouse, children, extended family)
5. Yourself (Temptations, strengths, weaknesses, praising God for evidences of grace)
His Provision
1. Thank Him for His provision in the past
2. Make known to Him the areas of present need. Be specific.
His Forgiveness
1. Ask God to forgive you for your sin and lack of forgiveness towards others (Be specific and ask Him for greater clarity as how to mortify sin in your heart).
2. Forgive and Release Others. (Mediate on the forgiveness we have received from Christ and let that motivate your forgiveness toward others.)
His Deliverance
1. Preach the gospel to the places where your heart might be tempted.
2. Recognize that our deliverance from evil is an act of God?s grace, not will-power.
3. Recognize our weaknesses and temptations in light of God?s power to deliver us. (2 Cor. 4:7-12).
4. Pray that Love for Christ might dwarf ungodly desires.
His Glory
1. All things that will last rest in Him
2. Worship and Enjoy the Benefits of Knowing Him
