Matthew Hoffman - Lead Pastor - Overseeing Preaching, Teaching, Leading of the Care Group Leaders -Matthew came to know Christ at a young age through the guidance of his godly parents and the faithful preaching of their pastor at Second Baptist Church of Marion, Ill. Throughout his growing up years his parents instilled in him a passion and love for the local church - a passion which still remains. In 1993 he married the love of his life - Anna. (I still can't believe I got to marry Anna! What a blessed man I am!) Together they have two children - Vivian and Christian. Prior to leading the church plant of Providence Community Church back in 2002, Matthew served as a Youth Pastor at Christ Covenant Church of Houston, TX. for six years, then as a Pastoral Intern at Sovereign Grace Church of Pasadena, CA. for two years. After graduating from Fuller Theological Seminary and then the Sovereign Grace Ministries' Pastor's College, the Sovereign Grace Church of Pasadena sent the Hoffmans along with Quillas out in 2002 to plant Providence Community Church. He loves being a pastor and can't believe he gets to do this! He has no athletic ability at all. He is more of the artisy type...it is a wonder they let him in. | Doug Luffman - Pastor - Overseeing Family Life Ministries (Children's, Youth & Singles) Since the very beginning of Providence Community Church Doug has played a key role in our "family life" type ministries as well as the church as a whole. For one to be around Doug for 5 minutes is to be cared for and ministered to. He is a godly man, who by the grace of God married the love of his life, Carla, and together they have five children, Kelsey, Sadie, Joshua, Audrey and Stephen. |
David Quilla - Pastor - Overseeing Church Administration, Biblical Counseling Ministry and Evangelism/Outreach - The Quilla family were members of Sovereign Grace Church of Pasadena for 14 years prior moving to Kansas in 2002 to join the church planting team at Providence. Dave has an undergraduate degree in Business Administration (1982) from Humboldt State University in California and is a graduate of Fuller Theological Seminary (1990) where he earned an MA from the School of World Mission. Dave joined our staff in Oct. 2008 after retiring from a 25 year career in the Computer Software industry. Dave and Pam were married in 1983 and have three godly children, Jamin (who is presently serving in Campus Crusade for Christ overseas), Alicia and Nathan. They currently reside in Overland Park. Outside of that he has led an exciting career as an amateur Formula Ford race car driver...and one of the nicest (and godliest) guys you will ever want to meet. |
